About The Position

As a Packer, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality products to our customers by ensuring finished goods are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently. Your focus on quality inspections, food safety, and teamwork helps maintain production flow while ensuring products meet company standards before reaching consumers.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of production or manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, or assembly environments.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or packaging-related equipment.
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification or experience following LOTO procedures.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and housekeeping standards.
  • Experience supporting sanitation activities and equipment changeovers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cartons, trays, and displays for packaging by folding, taping, sorting, labeling, and staging materials for production.
  • Verify tape guns and taping equipment contain adequate supplies and are functioning properly.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished product packaging, including bag registration, code dates, pricing, seals, and overall package integrity.
  • Remove out-of-specification products and communicate packaging concerns to Machine Operators, Coordinators, or Supervisors.
  • Pack products according to established packaging specifications and ensure correct labels are applied.
  • Seal, tape, and prepare cartons for shipment.
  • Stack cartons and trays on pallets using approved stacking patterns.
  • Utilize pallet jacks, when applicable, to move finished goods and materials safely.
  • Clear loose product and packaging materials from work areas and dispose of defective bags, boxes, and trays.
  • Assist with product rework activities according to plant procedures.
  • Perform sanitation and cleaning activities, including equipment washes, seasoner cleanings, and wipe-outs.
  • Prepare production lines for start-up and assist with equipment changeovers as needed.
  • Operate tray-making and stapling equipment when required.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during required cleaning and sanitation activities.
  • Identify and remove defects from product streams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5S initiatives.
  • Store materials and supplies in designated locations and keep aisles and exits clear of obstructions.
  • Follow all food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety policies, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as required to support production needs.
