About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring all insulation products are packaged correctly according to customer requirements and specifications. The position requires working effectively in a team environment and following both written and verbal instructions.

Requirements

  • Must use packaging skills and knowledge to ensure quality product is being packaged and accurately counted.
  • Must be able to pack two lines simultaneously depending on speed or size of the tubes.
  • Must have visual observation and manual dexterity when packaging product into cardboard boxes and ensure that all product being packaged is labeled and stamped.
  • Must have visual observation and high level of concentration to ensure product being pack is not damage while being place in the box or SSPT bin.
  • When packing SSPT material, locking pins must be placed in divider bars to avoid tube damage during transportation.
  • Print labels as needed for all production ran on the TCV lines
  • Communicate quality issues (talc, ID, wall, skin) to line operator as needed
  • Must have a high degree of mental competence to make decisions quickly and react to problems when they occur.
  • Verbally communicates with Packaging Team members to maintain an efficient process flow.
  • Also, verbally communicate with Extrusion Team members to prevent and correct quality related issues.
  • Uses a high degree of attention and concentration to inspect the quality and consistency of the Insulation Product while packaging.
  • Must have reading, writing and basic math skills to use Electronic Calipers for inspecting Insulation wall thickness, I.D. Gauges for inspecting the inner diameter of the insulation tube, adjust speeds and set length specifications, according to customer’s requirements, on the Cutter(s).
  • Document all information to insure that he product is packaged correctly to meet customer specifications according to written and verbal instructions.
  • Must have visual observation, manual dexterity and a high degree of attention when making 6’ foot and bulk pack cardboard boxes while using an Air Powered Staple Gun(s).
  • Ability to get along with co-workers
