About The Position
As a Packer, you will place the correct number of units in the proper case configuration and carton according to the customer specifications while observing safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- GENERAL EDUCATION
- ABILITY TO FOLLOW VERBAL AND WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS AND COMMUNICATION
Nice To Haves
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR G.E.D.
- ADVANCED SCHOOLING
Responsibilities
- Accurate count according to specifications
- Ensures that UPC, case label, weight, and code are correct to production schedule
- Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations to ensure safe and quality products
- Complete product changeovers as dictated by specifications
- Complete daily and weekend cleaning
- Complete proper documentation
- Perform weekly and weekend cleaning on equipment and surrounding areas
- Work with cleaning chemicals
- Always utilize all required PPE
- Perform any added duties as assigned by supervision
- Attend all required training sessions
- Work overtime as required
- Follow GHP (Good Housekeeping Practices), as well as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Work towards attaining and maintaining GFSI & BRC certifications
