About The Position

The Packer supports the operations team in a fast-paced production warehouse environment. The role involves inspecting products for defects and packing finished goods in the correct configuration. The posting lists the position as a day-shift role, while the shift details provided describe available night shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Compensation starts at $18.50 per hour, with a $2.00 night-shift differential, and is paid weekly.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform constant physical activities, including reaching overhead, squatting, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, walking, and standing throughout the scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing 0–50 pounds, depending on the assigned line.
• Ability to climb stairs during a 12-hour shift and tolerate continuous standing and intense walking.
• Ability to work in indoor environments with excessive hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks requiring dexterity and use of the hands, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and clothing, which may include safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat or bump cap, hair or beard net, and gloves.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Previous experience working in manufacturing, packing products from conveyor lines, mechanical work, or plastic molding is sought.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in a fast-paced production warehouse environment.
• Inspect products for defects and report quality issues to the team lead.
• Pack products into boxes in the correct configuration and prepare them for shipment.
• Ensure the station has sufficient supplies, such as boxes and tape.
• Keep the work station clean.
