About The Position

Valence Surface Technologies production is open 24 hours per day. This role involves measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials, examining and inspecting containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met, and ensuring all documentation is kept with the materials. The Packer will record product, packaging, and order information, seal containers using various packaging materials, and assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers. Cleaning of containers, materials, supplies, and work areas is also a responsibility. The position requires following supervisor instructions, ensuring the integrity of parts after processing (checking for damage, scratches, etc.), and visually inspecting parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly. Other duties as assigned may also be part of the role.

Responsibilities

Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
Seal containers or materials, using the stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks.
Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.).
Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
