As a Packer at our elevator manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of our production process. Your primary responsibility will be to carefully and efficiently package elevator products, ensuring they are prepared for shipment in a safe and secure manner.

Requirements

High School Diploma and 2-3 years assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision in packaging tasks.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong work ethic and reliability to consistently meet production goals.
Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to take on new tasks as required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures in English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.
Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, other stakeholders.
Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Manually wrap elevator products using shrink wrap and other packaging materials as required.
Package all items per defined standards to ensure delivery quality to our customer – may including boxing, bubble-, stretch-, or shrink wrapping, strapping.
Perform saw cutting as part of the packaging process.
Utilize measuring tape accurately to ensure packaging meets specifications.
Operate tools such as nail guns, C clamps, and blow torches as needed for packaging tasks.
Lift and move heavy elevator components and packaged products.
Ability to read and interpret measurements using a measuring tape.
Utilize computer and ERP systems to identify and pull required pick lists for the shift.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packaging area.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Other duties as assigned.
