About The Position
The Packaging Operator is responsible for labeling and packaging product. Main equipment consists of PCs, label vacuum sealers. Polymaker develops, produces and markets high value materials for 3D printing. Our company is growing rapidly and can be described as young, open and energetic. From our 40,000 SF facility in Missouri City, TX, we currently manage the production, sales, marketing, planning, and distribution of 3D printing filament for the North America region.
Requirements
- 12 Hour Shifts; from 3 – 4 shifts/week (alternating schedule)
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility
- High attention to detail
- Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching are normal expected movements during a shift
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or refinery facility
- Willingness to learn and teach others
- Open to taking both direction and feedback from others
- Willingness to learn and adopt core values of the company
Nice To Haves
- Previous packing or quality experience
Responsibilities
- Preparation of cardboard, paper, and plastic packing materials
- Packing and labeling of semi-finished products
- Operation of a vacuum sealing machine
- Palletizing packaged product
- Operator of a pallet jack or similar non-driven mobile equipment
- Document production rate against shift plan and complete work order information
- Document all equipment, material, and quality issues during shift
- Follow all process work instructions
- Follow all company environmental, health, and safety standards
- Stop work authority – STOPS all work if unsafe conditions are identified
- Communicate areas of improvement
