About The Position

We are looking for hard-working Packers to join a fast-paced production team in a cold environment. This is a temp-to-hire, full-time position on the 2nd shift. The role involves portioning diced meat, verifying weights, sealing packages, and adhering to all safety and food-handling standards. The work environment is cold, down to -10°F, and requires standing for long periods with repetitive hand work. Candidates must be able to lift 50-75 lbs, with a two-person lift available. Steel-toe shoes are required, and dressing warmly is essential.

Requirements

• 6 months packer or labor experience
• Must handle frozen meat throughout the shift
• Steel-toe shoes required
• Must dress warmly
• Able to stand for long periods
• Repetitive hand work
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs. (two-person lift available)
• Able to work Saturday if there is production

Responsibilities

• Portion diced meat into bags, trays, and vacuum packaging
• Move portioned steaks from the conveyor belt to boxes or vacuum film
• Verify weights using a scale
• Seal packaged product with a hand sealer
• Follow instructions and work well with the team
• Maintain all safety, quality, and food-handling standards
• Perform additional duties as needed
