About The Position

The Packer Operator is a front-line production role on Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team. The position performs production processes that add value and quality to inputs and create finished products. Work includes operating machinery and equipment and packaging final products. The role is part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business, which serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have at least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
• Have basic computer and math skills.
• Be able to read, write, and comprehend English and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Be willing to learn new skills, solve problems, and troubleshoot.
• Have strong collaboration and communication skills and consistently show respect.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety processes and insist on safe practices by yourself and others.
• Arrive on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
• Multitask and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow quality standards and standard operating procedures during production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with and follow instructions from Leads and Management to complete daily work assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
