About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Molding Packer is to inspect the product for defects and pack quality product according to work instructions. Requirements

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds over head.
  • Ability to walk and or stand for 12 hours per day.
  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Must be able to read the traveler and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring safety is a core value and the number one priority.
  • Visually inspect product and identify product non-conformities.
  • Pack quality product into boxes, according to customer specifications and Berry quality guidelines.
  • Immediately place non-conforming product into the scrap bins as soon as it is found.
  • Read travelers and compare labels for accuracy.
  • Prepare packaging in accordance with traveler instructions.
  • Perform repetitive motion work with hands.
  • Communicate questions regarding quality with necessary personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Read the traveler and complete paperwork.
  • Pack lids or containers from any assigned machine.
  • Identify needed supplies and their locations.
  • Report any safety concerns or problems to the Group Leader.
  • Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues.
  • Staff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
  • Make boxes, as necessary.
