About The Position
The Packaging Warehouse Technician safely performs basic equipment care and operates basic mobile equipment and industrial packaging lines while providing packaging equipment support. The role also performs sanitation and dust abatement duties, completes food safety inspections and documentation, and requires an understanding of equipment operating principles and fundamentals. The position follows current GMPs and safety procedures in a food-product packaging environment and uses required personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Successfully pass a Safety Screen evaluating the ability to safely perform the position's duties and tasks.
- Ability to read and write in English to comprehend and interpret technical literature and reference materials and understand how to use SDS information.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Training or knowledge in emergency evacuation procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of current GMPs, safety rules and procedures, and SDS information as they apply to the packaging area and food products.
- Ability to be properly fit tested for use of dust respirators.
