About The Position

The Packaging Technician I partners with Machine Operators to perform packaging line setup, changeovers, and runnability activities on assigned production lines. This role supports front-end and back-end packaging equipment, ensures compliance with cGMP requirements, resolves routine operating issues, and helps develop Machine Operator skills through hands-on coaching and collaboration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or packaging experience
• Experience operating and setting up packaging equipment
• Current cGMP and facility safety training
• Ability to read SOPs, setup instructions, and technical documents
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Previous experience as a Machine Operator 2 position

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years cGMP pharmaceutical packaging experience
• Lean manufacturing, SMED, or continuous improvement experience
• Experience training or coaching operators

Responsibilities

• Execute line setups, changeovers, and runnability activities in partnership with Machine Operators
• Maintain line performance by identifying and correcting routine operational issues, including timing adjustments, product tracking concerns, jams, feed rate issues, and guide adjustments
• Distinguish equipment failures from operational issues and promptly engage Maintenance when needed
• Ensure changeovers are completed according to standard procedures and cGMP requirements
• Complete and maintain accurate production, changeover, and compliance documentation
• Track changeover performance and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Coach and support Machine Operators on standard work practices, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques
• Support line clearances, first-piece verification activities, and quality requirements
