About The Position

The Packaging Specialist safely and effectively assists the Thermoforming and Safety Departments with implementation, preparation, training, and tasks requested by the machine operator. The role includes inspecting and packing products and materials, supporting line training and machine startups, operating specified equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean work area in a manufacturing environment. The position is available on day or night shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., and starts at $19.61 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• English language skills.
• Ability to stand and walk; may need to stoop, kneel, bend, squat, twist, climb, push, pull, carry, reach, or routinely lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Spanish language skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, vest, safety-toe footwear, task-required gloves, and hairnets.
• Assist with on-the-line training for packers.
• Review and understand training documents, including SPLs and SOPs.
• Inspect packaging products and materials using standard documentation.
• Palletize boxes according to packaging configuration specifications.
• Operate grinder pull-roll speed dials and hoist controllers.
• Load boxes accurately into automation equipment such as Aagards.
• Understand and demonstrate automation equipment alert systems.
• Follow company rules and policies and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
• Assist operators during startups and coordinate and execute daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
