About The Position

Openwork is hiring a Packaging Specialist for a leading manufacturing facility in Houston. This is a hands-on position that combines packaging responsibilities with general labor duties to support daily production operations. This position requires working in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment. Applicants must be comfortable following all safety requirements, including remaining clean-shaven at all times to properly wear a respirator.

Requirements

2+ years of manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or material handling experience.
Forklift experience required.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
Comfortable performing physically demanding work and lifting 50–75 pounds.
Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and a commitment to safety.
Must remain clean-shaven at all times to ensure a proper respirator seal.

Nice To Haves

Previous machine operating experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Package finished products according to customer and shipping specifications.
Wrap, crate, and secure heavy lead products for safe transportation.
Weigh, measure, label, and verify finished products before shipment.
Inspect packaged products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with shipping requirements.
Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
Read and follow work orders and production instructions.
Perform general labor duties, including moving materials and supporting production as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
