Requirements

  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, visual standards, product specifications, and label requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail when verifying part numbers, quantities, components, and customer orders.
  • A safety-first approach to lifting, stacking, moving, and securing products.
  • Ability to stay organized and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to learn multiple functions and adjust to changing products, priorities, and workloads.
  • A dependable, team-oriented approach and willingness to help where needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in packaging, shipping, furniture manufacturing, warehousing, or another production environment is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Wrap, bag, box, strap, stack, and package furniture components and finished products using approved materials and specifications.
  • Select the appropriate packaging materials to protect fabric, foam, metal, finished surfaces, and other components from damage.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, product configurations, and required components before completing each package.
  • Sort, group, and kit components according to customer orders and packaging instructions.
  • Apply labels, markings, and shipping identification accurately and clearly.
  • Report missing components, incorrect materials, damaged products, and packaging discrepancies.
  • Move completed packages to designated finished-goods, staging, or shipping areas.
  • Assist with organizing, staging, and loading products for outbound shipments.
  • Keep products and customer orders properly separated to prevent damage, contamination, or mix-ups.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing packaging waste, excess materials, and potential hazards.
  • Rotate among trained packing, staging, material-handling, and production-support functions as business needs change.
  • Support scheduled overtime when needed to meet production and shipping commitments.
