Packaging Production Supervisor
About The Position
Quad is hiring an experienced Packaging Production Supervisor to lead our second-shift team in Spartanburg, SC. This is an opportunity to develop people, improve processes, and drive performance while working with advanced packaging and converting technology. Our 82,000-square-foot Spartanburg facility specializes in innovative packaging solutions for the healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, and retail industries. The plant features sheetfed offset, narrow-web flexographic, die-cutting, and folder/gluer equipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
- Packaging, printing, converting, or folding-carton manufacturing experience required
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee-development skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, safety, quality, and production workflows
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English to communicate effectively and follow safety, quality, and production requirements
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities
- Willingness to work overtime as business needs require
Nice To Haves
- Experience with die cutting, folder/gluer, sheetfed press, flexographic printing, or similar packaging operations strongly preferred
- Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time performance
- Manage daily production priorities, staffing, equipment, and workflow
- Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime
- Partner with maintenance, quality, and other teams to improve plant performance
- Drive continuous improvement and waste-reduction initiatives
- Build an engaged, accountable, and high-performing team
