About The Position

The Packaging Operator safely operates packaging equipment and protects the integrity of customer products by preventing contamination, following standardized processes, and meeting customer requirements. The role carries out packaging operations efficiently and safely at the assigned pack-out line in accordance with company policies, core values, and safety procedures. Duties may extend beyond the listed responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

6–12 months of warehouse experience.
6–12 months of operations experience.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to last-minute schedule changes.
Flexibility to work with different crews as needed.
Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift 55 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain packaging, material-handling, and visual-inspection processes in accordance with EHS and Quality policies.
Follow Good Packaging Practices (GPPs) to maintain product integrity.
Perform complete blowdowns according to customer quality standards.
Assist the Packaging Lead with setting up packaging lines.
Set up transfer hoses to railcars while following GPPs.
Verify and initial paperwork before starting new packaging orders.
Review and initial test prints after approval from the Packaging Lead.
Report packaging quality concerns to the Packaging Lead.
Complete assigned Paylocity training to maintain compliance and develop skills.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
Assist the Packaging Lead with tasks assigned by management.
