The Packaging Operator reports directly to the Packaging Supervisor and shall consistently demonstrate the ability to work on all assigned equipment with minimal assistance. This role involves participating in daily meetings, understanding instructions, and organizing manufacturing steps for safe and effective quality products. Operators will follow written instructions on various documents, including Batch Records, Inventory Sheets, and Log Books, as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment, products, and processes. The position requires transporting raw materials weighing a minimum of 50lbs using appropriate lifting techniques, checking and calculating raw material quantities, and performing set-ups and adjustments to manufacturing/packaging equipment for peak efficiency. Operators will operate and clean equipment according to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and specific instructions, and perform basic maintenance duties. Documentation of work is crucial, and operators must consistently check their work for accuracy, reporting any discrepancies. Training new employees on equipment operation, documentation practices, safety, SOPs, and GMPs may also be required. Regular attendance is mandatory. Operators will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hair nets, beard covers, face masks, respirators, uniforms, safety shoes, and safety glasses. The role may involve exposure to various allergens and requires the use of an electric pallet jack when necessary. Effective communication with team members, supervision, and other departments is essential, fostering a positive work environment.
