About The Position

Machine sanitation is critical to the ongoing operation of the brewery. This position works mostly autonomously and repetitively to achieve high sanitation standards prior to the next production run. The work is predominantly sanitation, packaging machinery changeovers and setup, with occasional assistance in running the production line when needed. Adherence to all quality procedures to ensure work is right the first time to minimize re-work and ensure no downstream production scheduling delays to deliver the highest possible quality product to our customers; both internal and external. This position is for our 3rd shift, 10PM-630AM.

Requirements

  • An eye for detail
  • Comfortable with autonomous and repetitive work
  • Ability to continuously lift 20 lbs., and 40 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to perform changeovers on bottling line, can line and keg line (will train)
  • Work with cleaning chemicals, including caustic and acid
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule when necessary
  • Work with integrity and work ethically
  • Mechanically inclined/the ability to learn basic packaging machinery operation/maintenance/troubleshooting
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and with limited direction
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with management, peers and across functions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 40lbs occasionally.
  • Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, stacking, & overhead reaching
  • Some use of stairs or step stools
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination

Responsibilities

  • Perform CIP (clean in place) procedures on the bottling line, keg line, and can line
  • Perform packaging machine changeovers, material handling and occasional line work on bottling line, can line and keg line
  • Occasionally assist and/or perform in the repacking of product
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized
  • Adhere to all company safety policies
  • Ensure that you are not attempting to operate equipment on which you are not properly trained
  • Ensure equipment is well maintained and functioning properly
  • Notify the packaging lead of maintenance requirements
  • Confirm that all machines are locked out and tagged out when being serviced
  • Responsible for notifying the Packaging Manager if anyone is acting in an unsafe manner
  • Must be present and ready to perform duties by scheduled time and available to work a minimum of 2 hours of overtime if needed
  • All break times approved by the packaging Manager and break times adhered to
  • Inform the packaging Manager if the proper materials are not available so production is not interrupted
