The Packaging Operator reports directly to the Packaging Supervisor and shall consistently demonstrate the ability to work on all assigned equipment with minimal assistance. This role involves participating in daily meetings, understanding instructions and responsibilities, and organizing manufacturing steps for the production of safe and effective quality products. Operators will follow instructions on all documents related to production/packaging, including Batch Records, Inventory Sheets, and Log Books, as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment, products, and processes. A key responsibility includes transporting raw materials weighing a minimum of 50lbs using appropriate lifting techniques and performing set-up and adjustments to manufacturing/packaging equipment to ensure peak efficiency. Operators will operate and clean equipment within cGMP guidelines, document work accurately, and check for errors or deficiencies, reporting any discrepancies to their supervisor. They may also train new employees on equipment operation, documentation practices, safety, SOPs, and GMPs. Regular attendance is required, and operators will wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hair nets, beard covers, face masks, respirators, uniforms, safety shoes, and safety glasses. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for maintaining a positive work environment. Employees may be exposed to various allergens, and the use of an electric pallet jack may be required.
