About The Position
Sensient Technologies is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift packagers/production operators to join their team to produce high-quality food ingredients. The role involves packaging yeast powder for various food products, pet food, and livestock feeds, and operating related machinery.
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work both 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends
- Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment/food manufacturing
- Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly, position 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time, assemble equipment, and work safely in hot environment
Responsibilities
- Package yeast powder which goes into food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
- Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink wrapping machine
- Take samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
- Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
- Perform cleaning for your assigned area that complies with company and government policy
- Fill out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
- Follow food and safety standards/good manufacturing practices
