About The Position

Join our collaborative team as a Lead Packaging/Labeling Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll manage pharmaceutical packaging operations while contributing to global healthcare. You'll provide leadership for packaging operations, ensuring compliance with GMP standards while coordinating teams to deliver high-quality products that support healthcare advancement. In this role, you'll manage room operations, support team members, and implement continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, lab, or a related environment
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, SOPs, and quality systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with computers and manufacturing systems (SAP, etc.)
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculations, measurements, and reconciliation
  • Experience in a cGMP-regulated environment
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • Experience with labeling and/or packaging operations in a pharmaceutical or clinical supply setting
  • Solid understanding of cGMP requirements, GDP (Good Documentation Practices), and quality systems
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, execute batch records, and maintain accurate documentation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting packaging/labeling equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., MS Office, electronic batch systems, ERP systems)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull materials up to 40 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Work performed in a controlled manufacturing and/or cleanroom environment requiring appropriate gowning and adherence to safety and quality procedures

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Science, engineering or related technical field
  • Leadership experience preferred with ability to train, mentor and guide team members
