About The Position

Rosina Food Products is seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Labeling & Artwork Coordinator to manage packaging artwork projects from initial request through approval and implementation. This position coordinates packaging for new products and updates to existing packaging while ensuring all artwork meets regulatory, customer, and manufacturing requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands food labeling requirements, enjoys managing multiple projects, and can balance creative packaging needs with accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in the food industry.
  • Experience with FDA and USDA food-labeling requirements.
  • Strong writing, organization, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work professionally with customers, vendors, agencies, and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop or similar design software.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in packaging engineering, packaging, marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of lithographic and flexographic printing processes is preferred.
  • Experience using project-management software such as Wrike is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate packaging artwork projects for new products, private-label and co-pack customers, and changes to existing packaging.
  • Serve as the communication link between customers, design and prepress agencies, packaging vendors, Project Management, Marketing, Sales, plant teams, and other internal departments.
  • Review packaging artwork for compliance with FDA, USDA, state, and customer requirements, including content, sizing, and spacing.
  • Design and develop packaging materials based on manufacturing and equipment capabilities.
  • Manage customer portals related to packaging and artwork.
  • Maintain printer proofs, pallet patterns, packaging specifications, customer requirements, and other supporting documentation.
  • Track artwork projects and tasks using Wrike and maintain the company’s packaging tracker.
  • Complete packaging-related bill of materials updates.
  • Support label design as needed.
  • Complete USDA generic label approvals and Label Submission and Approval System submissions.
  • Monitor regulatory and industry changes that may affect packaging artwork, food labeling, or recyclability requirements.
  • Recommend packaging options during the new product development process.
  • Partner with plant teams and customers to identify operational efficiencies and reduce packaging changeover time.
  • Coordinate product photography and packaging samples.
  • Approve artwork estimates and submit invoices to Accounts Payable.
