About The Position

The Packaging Equipment Technician operates and maintains high-speed packaging lines. This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The work takes place in production areas. The starting hourly rate is $21.00. Bell’s and New Belgium state that the compensation offered may vary based on experience, skills, education, location, and other position-related reasons.

Requirements

Solid mechanical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read reports, instructions, and procedures.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds overhead and carry 44 pounds for 10 feet.
Ability to push or pull weights up to 76 pounds across 100 feet and maintain the grip strength needed to carry objects, including cases and empty kegs weighing 31.5 pounds.
Fine motor dexterity.
Ability to climb, stoop, crawl, twist, squat, and reach overhead.
Ability to stand and walk frequently and constantly.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with high-speed production equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct machine start-up, operation, and shutdown for the relevant equipment area.
Initially troubleshoot equipment and production issues and make appropriate adjustments.
Participate in quality assurance activities, including corrective action, sensory evaluation, sampling, and testing.
Load and unload materials and finished products, including operating forklifts.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Follow Standard Operating Guidelines and checklists.
Train new personnel and other team members when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
