About The Position

The Packaging Equipment Technician operates and maintains high-speed packaging lines. This position works in production areas and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. The starting wage range is $21.00 per hour. An additional $6.00 shift differential applies to hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. All full-time coworkers at Bell’s and New Belgium are eligible for the listed benefits after one calendar month of employment. Requirements

Solid mechanical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read reports, instructions, and procedures.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead and carry 44 pounds for 10 feet.
Ability to push or pull up to 76 pounds across 100 feet.
Grip strength to carry objects including cases and empty kegs weighing 31.5 pounds.
Fine motor dexterity.
Ability to climb, stoop, crawl, twist, squat, and reach overhead.
Ability to stand and walk frequently and constantly.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with high-speed production equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct machine start-up, operation, and shutdown for the relevant equipment area.
Perform initial troubleshooting of equipment and production issues and make appropriate adjustments.
Carry out quality assurance activities, including corrective action, sensory evaluation, sampling, and testing.
Load and unload materials and finished products, including operating forklifts.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Follow Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and checklists.
Train new personnel and other team members when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
