About The Position

The Packaging Equipment Technician operates and maintains high-speed packaging lines in production areas. This third-shift position is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. A $6.00-per-hour shift differential applies to work performed between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., in addition to the base wage.

The starting wage is $21.00 per hour. The compensation offered may vary based on experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related factors. All full-time coworkers at Bell’s and New Belgium are eligible for the listed benefits after one calendar month of employment.

Requirements

• Solid mechanical skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read reports, instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds overhead and carry 44 pounds for 10 feet.
• Ability to push or pull weights up to 76 pounds across 100 feet and maintain the grip strength needed to carry objects, including cases and empty kegs weighing 31.5 pounds.
• Fine motor dexterity.
• Ability to climb, stoop, crawl, twist, squat, and reach overhead.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently and constantly.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with high-speed production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct machine start-up, operation, and shutdown for the relevant equipment area.
• Perform initial troubleshooting of equipment and production issues and make appropriate adjustments.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including corrective action, sensory evaluation, sampling, and testing.
• Load and unload materials and finished products, including operating forklifts.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Follow Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and checklists.
• Train new personnel and other team members when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
