About The Position

The position is responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed packaging lines. This role involves conducting machine start-up, operation, and shutdown, as well as initial troubleshooting of equipment and production issues. The technician will also engage in quality assurance activities, load/unload materials, maintain a clean work environment, adhere to Standard Operating Guidelines, and train new personnel. The position is for the 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• Previous experience with high speed production equipment desired
• Solid mechanical skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read reports, instructions, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Conducts machine start-up, operation, and shutdown relevant to equipment area
• Conducts initial troubleshooting of equipment and production issues and makes appropriate adjustment as needed
• Engages in quality assurance activities (corrective action, sensory evaluation, sampling, testing, etc.)
• Loads/unloads material and finished product, including driving fork lifts
• Ensures clean work environment
• Adheres to SOG’s (Standard Operating Guidelines) and checklists
• Trains new personnel and other team members when needed
• Other duties as assigned
