About The Position

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. is a leading multi-national consumer packaged goods company (CPG), specializing in the sales of Cranberry products. Formed as a Grower-Owned Cooperative in 1930, Ocean Spray® is owned by a diverse network of over 700 Cranberry Farmers. These growers, many of which are multi-generational farming families who have been a part of the Cooperative for decades, are the foundation for all that we do. Our R&D Team is looking for a Packaging Development Co-op for the Summer of 2027! All Co-Ops start June 8, 2027 and will be 6 months long.

Requirements

Must be a current student enrolled in a Bachelor’s Packaging Science Degree Program
Completed Packaging Materials I & II
Completed Packaging Distribution
Strong communication Skills

Responsibilities

Assisting in packaging design
Coordinating and performing line trials and lab testing
Creating and managing specifications
Management of packaging project timelines
Communicating project status to internal business partners
Work closely with Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development and external packaging suppliers
Exposed to packaging component design through orientation meetings, shadowing and on the job training
Exposed to packaging lab testing through orientation meetings, shadowing and on the job training
Exposed to performing and reporting on packaging line trials through orientation meetings, shadowing and on the job training
Exposed to consumer insights through orientation meetings, shadowing and on the job training
Exposed to sales and customer requirements through orientation meetings, shadowing and on the job training
Exposed to packaging specifications through orientation meetings, shadowing and on the job training
Interns are assigned objectives that support key business initiatives and are provided an outline of the deliverables and expected measurable results.
Feedback against these objectives is provided mid-way through and upon completion of the internship.
