Packaging Engineer Co-Op
About The Position
Since 1869, Campbell's has connected people through food they love, building a portfolio of trusted brands. This six-month co-op position is within the Research and Development: Global Packaging department at their World Headquarters in Camden, New Jersey. The program offers students the opportunity to contribute to activities within Soup, Sauce, Beverage, and North American Food Service, working on brands like Swanson Broth, Campbell's Soups, Pace Salsa, Prego Italian Sauce, and V8 Beverages. Co-ops become full members of the team, working closely with their department on meaningful projects and gaining hands-on experience at a Fortune 500 company. Students will have the opportunity to own a project from start to finish and present their results, gaining valuable experience and insider knowledge. Campbell's supports co-ops in their career path and personal development through professional development workshops, community involvement, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a Packaging or related program.
- Must be returning to school after the completion of the co-op term.
- Must have completed at least one semester of core classes and/or fulfilled school requirements for Co-op eligibility.
- Must be in good academic standing with their college or university.
- Must demonstrate an ability to learn quickly.
- Must be able to work well independently, in a team environment, and on multiple projects.
- Physical ability to handle weight of approximately twenty-five pounds.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship or assistance from the company.
Nice To Haves
- 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of new package components, including specifications.
- Participate in and lead Packaging trials at manufacturing facilities as needed.
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional team members and outside suppliers.
- Present results to the R&D organization upon completion of the six-month term.
