About The Position

The Packaging Attendant will operate the hydraulic dumper to feed cribbed product into the line flow within a refrigerated area while working with minimal supervision, ensure a steady line flow from MDS through both scale decks, carrying out necessary cleaning and sanitation tasks, and manage product sizing, while maintaining consistent line flow. This role will also keep the cold room clean and sanitized. Your day-to-day may consist of: Monitor and maintain addback equipment, scales, and buckets to ensure accurate and steady line flow, following all GMP requirements. Prevent mixing of product types by confirming addback matches line requirements; remove foreign material and identify product defects. Operate forklifts and other equipment as certified, position cribs, and control product sizing and grading in the cold room. Apply quality process techniques, report issues, and support continuous quality standards; perform magnet checks and audit reports. Promote company safety, participate in facility clean-up, assist with maintenance and cleaning, and complete all required reports and records. This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification required
  • Maintains a continuous learning mindset and adapts quickly to new equipment, processes, and roles.
  • Demonstrates strong technical ability with a digital-first approach, embracing new technologies and accurately entering data.
  • Communicates clearly with all levels of the organization, follows instructions (written/oral/diagram form), and completes necessary documentation independently in English.

  • Demonstrates the physical capability to bend frequently and lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds), alongside proficiency in safely operating Powered Industrial Vehicles to support workplace operations.
