About The Position

The Packaging Associate builds pallets, skids, and crates and performs other rough carpentry tasks. The role involves picking, packing, and preparing large outgoing customer orders, including securing heavy equipment and other items for shipment. Packaging is checked against the provided paperwork, and items are visually inspected for damage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills, including understanding fractions and decimals when using measuring devices.
• Ability to work on your feet throughout the day, move continuously, bend and twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus; willingness to train for a forklift operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets, skids, and crates for large equipment shipments.
• Load and secure heavy equipment onto skids using a forklift and/or powered hoist.
• Load and secure other items onto pallets and skids.
• Secure shipments with straps, bolts, screws, and similar materials.
• Package outbound inventory and verify quantities against work orders, shippers, or spreadsheets.
• Visually inspect items for damage.
