About The Position

The Package Manager is responsible for ensuring that the package is mobilized, planned, organized, and executed in accordance with HSE, Quality, Technical, Schedule, Budget, Risk, Contract, and Project Strategy objectives and requirements. This role ensures that engineering and requisitioning, procurement, manufacturing, subcontracting, expediting, associated testing, and logistics activities within the assigned package are developed according to schedule, man/hours, equipment, budget, contractual specifications, and project requirements, including constructability and installability. The Package Manager will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the Client contract and subcontracts related to the package, ensuring familiarization with key documents, project flow downs, and subcontract Ts & Cs, and will communicate key matters to the Package Team. This role leads the Package Team, organizes and conducts Package Team meetings to monitor progress, identify issues and actions, and provide visibility of overall package status and package/project needs. The Package Manager ensures that the requirements for Duty of Care are applied to each phase of the package execution. They will work with the Project Quality Manager (PQM) to ensure package deliverables meet quality requirements and address any quality matters. Collaboration with the Project Engineering Manager (PEM), Sub-System Lead Engineer (SSLE), SIT Lead Engineer (SIT LE), Installation Lead Engineer (Installation LE), and PQM is required to ensure coordination of technical interfaces. The Package Manager will also work with the Project Procurement Manager (PPM) to ensure coordination of commercial interfaces with suppliers and subcontractors, and to manage 3rd party vendors and subcontractors. Coordination with Manufacturing is necessary to ensure proper and on-time start of Manufacturing Scope, including the issuance of ICPOs and other required documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Package Manager-related occupation.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Industry with knowledge in Subsea Production System and Subsea Umbilical, Riser, and Flowline subsystems.
  • Experience in Project Management with a scope of supply equivalent to 50 to 100 million USD.
  • Experience with SAP enterprise management system.
  • Experience combining technical, commercial, and risk-based decision making to solve complex problems that often have multiple solutions with competing advantages and disadvantages.
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Offshore Installation and Operations.
  • Experience in project negotiations, multi-site interfaces of commercial management of contracts, supplier quality systems, and development and implementation of project management strategies.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Scheduling (P6/MS Project), and ERP products.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Project Procurement Manager (PPM) to ensure coordination of commercial interfaces with suppliers and subcontractors as applicable to the package.
  • Works with PPM to manage 3rd party vendors and subcontractors as applicable to the package.
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing to ensure proper and on-time start of Manufacturing Scope, including issuance of ICPOs and other documentation as required for the package.
