About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal, part-time Package Handler at 35 Commerce Ave., Albany, NY 12206. The position pays $17.00 per hour, with weekly pay and eligibility for a seasonal bonus. No previous warehouse experience is required; training is provided. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment ends, subject to eligibility and availability, but continued employment is not guaranteed.

Shifts run Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, from 3:30 AM to 9:30 AM or until the sort is complete. End times may vary depending on package volume and business needs. The seasonal assignment is scheduled from October 27, 2026, through January 1, 2027. Overtime may be required when business needs require it, and overtime pay is provided consistent with applicable law. Premium pay is offered for hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

This active, hands-on warehouse role involves working with a team to move packages safely and efficiently toward their next destination. The work requires repeated lifting and other physical tasks, and may take place in hot or cold warehouse environments where temperature control may be limited.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to repeatedly lift packages as described; stand and/or walk for extended periods; frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat; perform repetitive physical tasks; and work in hot or cold warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for work.
• Work as part of a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
