About The Position
GLS US is seeking a Package Handler to sort packages into the correct routes and help ensure proper delivery timelines. Package handlers work as part of a team to complete behind-the-scenes warehouse work safely and successfully in a fast-paced environment. The position involves scanning and sorting packages, loading and unloading trucks, and operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Employees must follow warehouse safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must be willing to follow instructions and accept supervision.
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and cooperate with co-workers and supervisors.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Must regularly lift loads in the 0–25 lb., 26–50 lb., and 51+ lb. ranges.
Responsibilities
- Scan and/or sort packages.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Comply with warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
