About The Position
GLS US package handlers sort packages into the correct routes to support proper delivery timelines. They work as part of a team to complete behind-the-scenes warehouse operations safely and successfully, in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and quality. Duties include scanning and sorting packages, loading and unloading trucks, operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, following warehouse safety rules, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must be willing to follow instructions and accept supervision.
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and cooperate with coworkers and supervisors.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities
- Scan and/or sort packages into the correct routes.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Comply with warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
