About The Position

Nippon Sanso MATHESON is hiring a local CDL truck driver in Fairmont, West Virginia, to deliver packaged cylinders of compressed gases, including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. Deliveries are made primarily to hospitals, commercial food processors, and government agencies. The position is described as home daily, with clean, consistent, year-round work and no down periods. Compensation is advertised at up to $31.02 per hour and an average annual income of $65,000 to $75,000. A $5,000 retention bonus is advertised.

Requirements

CDL Class A license and current DOT medical card.
At least 1 year of CDL Class B driving experience, or 0.5 years of experience with certification from an accredited driving school.
Prior experience driving a manual 10-speed transmission and the ability to pass a road test.
Current Hazmat endorsement; candidates without one may be considered if they obtain it within 60 days of hire.
No more than 1 traffic violation in the last 2 years, no at-fault accidents in the last 2 years, and no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years (1 per lifetime).
Ability to pass a DOT physical, DOT drug test, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Transport and deliver cylinders of compressed gases to customers, primarily hospitals, commercial food processors, and government agencies.
Drive a truck equipped with a manual 10-speed transmission.
Perform the physical activities listed for the role, including lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling, climbing, and crouching.
