About The Position

Infineon is seeking a Graduate Package Development Engineer to join the HiRel Package Group. This role involves leading design, material selection, qualification, and new product introduction for HiRel applications. The engineer will manage projects through prototype and qualification builds, ensuring designs meet stringent quality and reliability criteria. Responsibilities also include developing and sustaining design rules, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) standards, and collaborating with the package design team to ensure robust package releases to production. The role emphasizes promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and resilience within the packaging team.

Requirements

  • Graduating in Spring 2027 with a Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of process flows, upstream and downstream interactions, and design of experiments (DOE)
  • Ability to identify unexpected issues, drive root-cause analysis, and persevere until closure
  • Experience in data analysis and continuous process improvement
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player and self-starter
