The Pack Load Ship Manager is responsible for leading all packing and shipping operations at the Elkhart facility, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. As a key member of the Plant Management Team, this role ensures efficient, safe, and high-quality packing and shipping processes while aligning with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Supervisory experience in related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and through teams, with all levels of the workplace.
  • Keen listening/communication abilities to lead improvement processes within various areas and levels of organization.
  • Skills in conflict resolution are required.
  • Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate on all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience; exposure to aluminum extrusion industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Represents the department in establishing objectives and long-range goals.
  • Ensures the department follows organizational policies, procedures and processes and cooperates with other departments as required in achievement of organizational goals.
  • Directs planning and scheduling of packing and shipping personnel.
  • Plans and makes daily schedules to meet customer demand and line efficiency.
  • Analyzes and evaluates established production processes for optimal departmental performance.
  • Develops and implements work methods, authorizes overtime and controls costs.
  • Reviews non-conforming reports and RMAs to determine cause of quality defects.
  • Oversees implementation of proposed correction to eliminate quality defect.
  • Plans day-to-day departmental operations.
