AECOM is seeking a self-starter and experienced Transportation Construction Management (CM) Group Lead to drive growth for our Pacific Northwest Transportation business based in our Seattle, WA office. This external facing leader will represent AECOM in the marketplace and oversee business development, sales, and strategy. The right candidate will need to be a growth minded leader who can work collaboratively with other senior leadership and mentor staff to support project delivery, business development, marketing and communications, capture management, and strategy. The ideal person must be able to be a clear and dynamic communicator to senior leadership, clients, peers, and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership.
  • Must possess a valid US Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree required in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of related experience.
  • Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate problems clearly and simply to clients, leadership, and technical staff.
  • Ability to balance various project and company responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality.
  • Professional Engineering licenses or ability to achieve one in 6 months.
  • Experience in business development, and strong existing relationships with transportation agencies the Pacific Northwest.
  • Existing relationships within the transportation community in the Pacific Northwest, and active involvement in local professional organizations.
  • Experience in Construction Management within Transportation in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Project work history that includes notable, applicable construction management experience on transportation projects within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Help build a strong and thriving culture in AECOM Pacific Northwest Transportation CM Group (focused in Seattle).
  • Initially able to work as both a doer and seller to capture and delivery new work in the area.
  • Provide leadership in recruiting and retaining top talent to the Pacific Northwest for construction management.
  • In collaboration with senior leadership, develop and own the long-term vision for sustained growth of AECOM’s Transportation Construction Management business in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team in the US West Transportation on driving strategic growth initiatives throughout the region.
  • Work with the US West Transportation growth team in developing and delivering an annual strategic plan including Wins, Bookings, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Act as capture manager for key construction management pursuits in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Collaborate with local divisional leadership across all markets and local team to organize civic engagement activities and support AECOM’s visibility and market presence.
  • Work with local division leadership to maintain Salesforce data integrity.
  • Work with local division leadership to grow Salesforce pipeline.
  • Potential to be project manager or Principal in Charge on key projects in the Pacific Northwest market.
