About The Position

The PACE Physician (MD/DO) delivers medical care to Valir PACE participants in the Oklahoma market, including the Oklahoma City and Shawnee PACE centers. The Physician works jointly with the Medical Director, providers, therapy, activities, dietary, social services, and transportation as part of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to determine and monitor each participant’s care plan in compliance with national and state regulations and laws. Valir PACE provides integrated medical and social services to seniors. The organization seeks team members who work collaboratively in diverse teams, support innovation, and interact with participants and colleagues with understanding and compassion.

Requirements

MD or DO degree with active board certification.
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oklahoma.
Licensure by both the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control (OBNDDC) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population or approved training.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation for travel between sites and to participant homes.

Responsibilities

Deliver medical care to Valir PACE participants in the Oklahoma market, including at the Oklahoma City and Shawnee PACE centers.
Work with the Medical Director, providers, and other disciplines on the Interdisciplinary Team to determine and monitor each participant’s care plan.
Comply with applicable national and state regulations and laws.
