About The Position

This position provides diagnostic and therapeutic health care coverage for patients in a clinic setting under the supervision of an attending physician. Duties include taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, coordinating laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and assisting patients with treatment plans and education. Other duties may include sharing call hours, providing phone coverage, and seeing admitted patients in the hospital. The clinic is anticipated to open in March 2027 at 1922 Salk Avenue, Tavares, Florida 32778.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant degree.
• Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must meet Medical Staff Office requirements to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.

Responsibilities
