About The Position
The City of Gladstone, Missouri is seeking a full-time Parks & Facilities Maintenance Worker to perform various maintenance activities related to City infrastructure.
Requirements
- Valid drivers license with a safe driving record
- 45 minute response time to City limits
- Selected candidate must possess or obtain a Class B CDL with air brake and tank vehicle endorsements within 6 months. Free training provided.
- Must be willing to work on-call and weekend shifts
Responsibilities
- Inspects and maintains City parks, grounds and facilities.
- Assists in the preparation and administration of the City's outdoor recreation programs.
- Maintains and prepares fields, courts and athletic equipment for sporting events.
- Maintains/cleans grounds, trash collection, fields, restrooms and parking lots.
- Maintains light machinery such as tractors, trucks and mowers.
- Changes scoreboard lights.
- Performs a variety of construction tasks: painting, basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
- Assists in the preparation for special events and maintenance during events.
- Supervises and trains seasonal employees.
- Removes snow, ice and debris from severe weather manually and/or using heavy equipment.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
- Available to work evenings, early mornings and weekends, as needed.
