Requirements

Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma from a recognized technical school.
Proven ability/experience in above noted responsibilities.
Ability and willing to work in adverse weather conditions.
Knowledge and adherence to safety practices, procedures, and standards required.
Be competent and comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets.
Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build rapport.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work within strict deadlines.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.
Demonstrate a willingness to work safely and show concern for environmental, health and safety issues in the workplace.
Willing to accept out of town working conditions.
Have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Capable of passing the physical fitness and medical requirements.
Proven track record of good attendance and performance.

Nice To Haves

SCADA experience would be an asset for this position.

Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, and maintain substation equipment associated with the Altalink transmission system.
Provide maintenance planning, schedulers, and Altalink Control Center staff with information regarding equipment status and recommend improvements or replacements.
Trouble response for Protection & Control equipment in the area.
Assist and support other disciplines as required.
Demonstrate key behaviors and meet identified expectations outlined in our four cultural pillars – one team, continuous improvement, customer focus and personal accountability.
