About The Position

USAA is seeking a P&C Product Management Manager to join the Go-To-Market Team, focusing on data and analytics support. This role is crucial for identifying, prioritizing, and advocating for the data, analytics, and tools needed by the team. The position involves creating prototypes for new analytical tools and reports, supporting leadership with meeting preparations, and providing state support for Louisiana as needed. The role contributes to achieving property and casualty (P&C) insurance profit and growth targets in assigned states or regions by assisting in the development of strategic vision and tactical plans to expand market share. It emphasizes focusing on state-specific competitive and financial KPIs to anticipate and react to trends, and identifying opportunities for regional impacts that drive best practices and innovation across the organization. This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel, but individuals within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office are expected to work on-site four days per week.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of relevant product or program management experience analyzing data and developing recommendation, or an advanced degree in Business, with 4 years of product or program management experience.
3 years of P&C experience.
Working experience in creating product briefings and presenting to executive leadership.
Demonstrated experience in effectively conducting product analysis & gain an in depth understanding of market dynamics including competitor underwriting initiatives and rate level analysis.
Competent knowledge of applicable product related regulations, and risk and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Works with large data sets to develop analytical insights and analyzes state-specific P&L and marketing strategy and the impact of marketing investments.
Answers financial and customer-related questions from key stakeholders using multiple data sources including SAS, SQL, Tableau, R, etc.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders partners to develop insights to develop and execute on multi-year state strategy.
Engages with external regulators to bring strategic actions to market.
Analyzes data with internal stakeholders, such as pricing, UW, and claims, to identify growth opportunities, build a 360-degree view of the membership and present key learnings.
Builds reports using data tools to monitor business performance and communicate results.
Identifies emerging themes, internal and external trends to improve performance and minimize risk.
Assists with the evaluation of product performance metrics and competitor actions to help facilitate decision making at regional/ countrywide level.
Partners with Government & Industry Relations, Attorney, and Compliance Advisor to manage relationship with local regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
Serves as a resource to team members by providing guidance and training on processes and procedures in support of product line initiatives.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
