About The Position

This role involves performing daily checks and maintenance on Ozone, PAA, & Pneumatic systems. The position requires monitoring concentrations and airborne readings for various chemicals and air quality within the facility, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards. The role also includes assessing sprayer performance, identifying issues with sprayers, valves, fittings, and hoses, and providing input to supervision when checks are out of compliance. Additionally, the position may involve backing up the wastewater attendant and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must maintain good recordkeeping relative to Ozone, PAA, & Pneumatic Systems
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues with systems and make appropriate adjustments/resolution notifications.
  • Responsible for ordering necessary supplies and maintain inventory
  • Must be able to start up/shut down the systems
  • Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time (8-10hrs.) on a concrete/metal grate floor
  • Able to work in cold environment 40 degrees.
  • Must be fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Basic math skills.
  • Eligible handwriting
  • Knowledge of Paracetic Acid Test Kits and Calibration of Ozone System
  • Good overall work record and attendance record.
  • Basic Windows PC Skills and ability to work in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Provides technical assistance to Supervisor and Foreman in analyzing and solving problems encountered in the daily mechanical and production work.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work from ladder, safely
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and ability to cross train in processing maintenance area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily checks on Ozone, PAA, & Pneumatic system
  • Maintain Ozone, PAA, & Pneumatic system
  • Perform routine start up and shutdown tasks of specified systems.
  • Monitor concentrations and airborne readings for Ozone, PAA, Chlorine, CO2, & Air in the facility, and correct or communicate deviations.
  • Document findings using Microsoft Office application
  • Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
  • Assess performance of individual sprayers and make adjustments as needed
  • Identify sprayers, valves, fittings and hoses for clogs and/or leaks
  • Provide input from the floor to supervision when PAA and Ozone checks are out of compliance.
