About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse facility, utilizing proper equipment and procedures. This role collaborates closely with department supervisors, leads, and processing team members to ensure accuracy within the processing department and to guarantee customers receive quality products.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment and clothing.
• Must possess a license to drive a forklift.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must follow company attendance policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift for transportation of product and materials.
• Make minor adjustments to the forklift or notify supervisor if forklift is not working properly.
• Don proper personal protective equipment.
• Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Other duties, as assigned.
