About The Position

This role is a combination of a driver and a guest service representative, responsible for transporting guests safely between the hotel and the Portland International Jetport. The position also involves assisting guests at the front desk during overnight hours, answering phones, preparing coffee, bagging cookies, stocking market items, and ensuring the hotel is ready for the morning shift. The ideal candidate is energetic, friendly, dependable, and comfortable working overnight shifts independently.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Friendly, chatty, outgoing personality
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable working overnight hours
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower periods
  • Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, typing.
  • Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Must have a knowledge of mathematical and computer skills.
  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
  • CPR training required

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Hotel experience is a bonus, but not required
  • First aid training preferred.
  • Additional language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transport guests safely between the hotel and Portland International Jetport.
  • Assist guests with luggage as needed.
  • Provide friendly, welcoming service during every ride.
  • Keep the shuttle clean, fueled, and ready for service.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any concerns.
  • Serve as a backup to the front desk team during overnight hours.
  • Assist guests with questions, directions, and requests.
  • Answer phones and help with basic guest inquiries.
  • Prepare and maintain fresh lobby coffee for morning guests.
  • Bag DoubleTree cookies and prepare them for guest arrivals.
  • Stock the front desk beverage cooler and guest market items.
  • Replenish bottled waters and guest amenities at the front desk.
  • Help prepare the hotel for the morning shift and arriving guests.
  • Support hotel operations during quieter overnight periods.
  • Complete side work and stocking tasks to ensure the hotel is guest-ready each day.
