About The Position

Under the supervision of the Management team, the Overnight Supervisor provides daily direction to Outfitters on the overnight shift in a retail store. The role oversees sales-floor replenishment, merchandise presentation, seasonal resets, inventory management, and price-change execution. It also supports the Management team with supervisory duties, staffing, training, scheduling, performance feedback, and maintaining a positive working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years of retail experience.
• Availability to work overnight shifts.
• Ability to read and analyze certain reports.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to inquiries from Managers, Outfitters, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to conduct meetings and presentations for groups.
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and inventory management systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, Outfitters, customers, and the Base Camp team.
• Regular computer work, walking, and standing; occasional sitting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to analyze problems, perform needs assessments, adapt broad guidelines to achieve desired results, exercise independent judgment within accepted practices, and make recommendations affecting policies, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Delegate tasks and assignments to team members, provide clear direction, and follow up on execution.
• Ensure team members follow standard operating procedures and provide training and guidance as needed.
• Maintain visual presentation standards, including signage, merchandise directives and planograms, merchandise recovery and front-facing, and general daily recovery.
• Ensure nightly sales-floor replenishment from backstock, Distribution Centers, and direct vendor deliveries.
• Support inventory management by completing on-demand counts, empty-peg scanning, pick requests, display integrity checks, and related tasks.
• Support the Management team with special events, pricing and UPC integrity, assortment decisions, inventory accuracy, and the display, tagging, signing, and pricing of advertised items.
• Support supervisory responsibilities consistent with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, work planning and assignment, performance evaluation, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Assist Management and Human Resources with staffing, interviewing and selection recommendations, training coordination, performance-appraisal input, and weekly work schedules.
• Coach and motivate associates to promote positive customer relations and a productive, team-oriented work environment.
• Ensure overnight Outfitters receive breaks and lunches in accordance with state and local regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
