About The Position

Meijer is hiring an Overnight Stocker for its Sussex/Pewaukee, Wisconsin store. The role involves taking merchandise from an L-cart or pallet, using the location codes on boxes to place products in the correct shelf locations, and repeating the process until the assigned area is complete. The stocker handles grocery, dairy, frozen, and general merchandise products, works overnight shifts, and helps keep stocking areas organized and supplied. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Current or previous retail or warehouse experience is a plus.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Adequate knowledge of computer systems and comfort using them.
Ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient manner.
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to work with customers consistently.
Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Weekend availability is required.

Current or previous retail or warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

Stock food shelves with grocery, dairy, frozen, and general merchandise products.
Meet the stocking standard of 70 boxes per hour.
Return back stock and trash to the correct areas in the back room.
Work with management to ensure assigned areas are stocked in a timely manner.
Assist with creating a bale using the cardboard baler.
Use powered equipment, including a powered hand jack, stand-up forklift, and sit-down forklift.
Maintain a friendly demeanor with customers.
Work overnight shifts.
