About The Position

Planned Companies’ Planned Security Services division is hiring friendly and professional Private Security Guards to support residential and commercial properties. Guards provide routine patrols and safety checks, access control, surveillance monitoring, alarm response, and security assistance. This position is located in Englewood, New Jersey, and is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license.
• Have a clean, valid driver’s license.
• Have at least 2 years of experience as a Security Officer or Guard.
• Know local, regional, and state legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Have excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Have experience with closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance systems.
• Have training in First Aid, Basic Life Saving (BLS), and self-defense.
• Have strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills.
• Have a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine security and safety patrols of properties and structures to maintain order and establish a security presence.
• Verify and track access credentials for residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries.
• Ensure exits, doors, and windows are secure and functioning.
• Monitor and track CCTV surveillance cameras to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
• Respond to, investigate, and assess notifications, communications, and alarms.
• Provide security-related assistance and support to residents, guests, and vendors.
• Report uninvited guests, suspicious possessions, and unlawful acts to the proper authorities.
• Prepare and submit daily surveillance and incident reports to Planned Security Services management.
